A weekend of eating was on the cards and boy was I excited or what. Quite reminiscent of my time in Sydney actually. The weekend kicked off on Friday night at Taj Tandoor before grabbing a beer at Belgian Bier cafe then a short walk to North Terrace to check out the Northern Lights. Exciting!

Everybody… pause! I present to you, an evil but delicious thing: carbs!!!!

Not a great idea if you’re out and about mingling with people – garlic breath… FML.

Eggplant Raita – Chopped smoke roasted eggplant, mixed with low fat yoghurt and herbs; $4.80

I love curry, I really do. However, I found the beef to be rather dry as opposed to tender and melting in the mouth. On the other hand, the curry was flavoursome and went well with the carbs we ordered, ie. the bread or rice which cut through the saltiness of the curry. The eggplant raita was cold, refreshing, light and a great palate cleanser. Shame I couldn’t taste and or distinguish any eggplant pieces among the yoghurt and herbs.
