Eggless, Goodwood


Next stop for a sugar hit: Eggless!

It’s a Saturday night so N and I are bracing ourselves for a line up and a short wait before scoring ourselves a table. The 15 minute wait was instead appreciated seeing that we were still quite full from dinner and needed that time for our bellies to settle down. Heh. (We needed extra room!)

We opt for the tasting platter for 2 at $18.00.


  • Chocolate peanut butter pie – layers of chocolate, peanut butter cream cheese and biscuit crust
  • Lavender and blueberry panna cotta
  • Cinnamon sweet potato churros with salty caramel sauce
  • Sago pudding

We dig into the sweet potato churros first. YUM! They’re just right in terms of sweetness and are perfectly paired with salty caramel sauce (sweet and salty concoction – LOVE). I dare say, one of the better churros I’ve had in Adelaide taste wise.

The chocolate peanut butter pie is decadently rich and super sweet – we struggle to finish this off. I think I would’ve cleaned this up if the biscuit crust was thicker to cut through the richness and give it that extra dimension in texture. But still, very good!

N’s favourite dessert of the platter – the panna cotta. A refreshing and light panna cotta with a subtle hint of lavender flavour.

Finally, the Asian dessert of pandan flavoured sago served cold with creamy coconut and palm sugar is refreshing, cool and fun with the little jelly-like bubbles – similar to fish roe minus the ‘pop’.


Our bellies have turned upside down, inside out (well, not really), BUT close to it! A successful night of eatings in my book. 🙂

    Love the look of that platter – they all look really good. I’ve been wondering about trying this place for a while but can’t bear the though of waiting! Maybe one day…
