Just Tickled Pink, Hyde Park

The day has come… the day I become a lady for a good 2 hours lunching with fellow ladies nibbling on a variety of sandwiches, savouring delectable mini sweets and sipping on a glass of champagne and bottomless tea.

Yes, it’s high tea time at Just Tickled Pink! The interior is adorned with prettiness and pink! The walls are adorned with Audrey Hepburn photos, cupcake things, pink, shelves of tea cups, tea pots, pink, cupcake things and pink. Oh did I mention… pink? So for those of you out there that have a phobia for the colour pink, obviously… this is SO NOT the place to go. πŸ˜‰

Once seated, K and I chit chat (as ladies do), we sip on our sparkling champagne and bask in the sea of pink whilst I stick out like a sore thumb wearing casual street clothing bordering on ‘tomboyish’ with a cap to boot! Should have thought about dress code (takes mental note) :P.

Moments later, THIS emerges from the back kitchen:

Savouries include: chicken and avocado spread, mint and cucumber, pepper salmon, Swiss cheese and dijon mustard sandwiches and savoury pastries.
Sugar hit consists of strawberry chocolate lamingtons, mini cupcakes and chocolate.

Enjoyed the wide variety of sandwiches and gladly finished all the cupcakes and sweets!

PS. Would have liked an extra tier of scones with fresh cream and jam as that’s what I tend to associate ‘High Tea’ with, having said that, even if there were scones… don’t think I would’ve finished it! πŸ˜›

Dined using a scoopon deal: $35.00 for two people, normally $40.00 per person.

I did… it was nice but I still like The Apothecary 1878 better! You definitely started your high tea experience with a mighty good one. πŸ˜‰
