Organised a quick catch us sesh with my girl C at a Mexican restaurant – Cha Chi’s. We don’t often have Mexican food, so this was us going out of our comfort zone and trying something different (plus we hear that Mexican food is delicious so expectations are kinda high!).

It took us a solid 10 minutes before we decide on what to order as we really had no idea what to expect, but we’ll kick off with a jug of sangria!
Sangria – red wine punch with fresh fruit and juice, 1/2 litre jug $10.00
It doesn’t take long before our food is served… and my oh my, the serving sizes are more than generous!
Oven baked burrito served with rice and salad, $19.90
Such a vibrant plate of colours and flavours. I clearly remember struggling to finish this eventuating in an unnecessary food coma. As for the dish? It was good – extremely filling and flavourful but not something I’d go out of my way to get.
Panuchos de camarones – prawns sauteed in butter with onions, capsicum, chipotle and tomato in a light creamy white wine sauce, laying on top of crispy flour tortilla chips served with rice and avocado salad, $22.90
So we tried, we conquered (barely) and we leave with satisfied full bellies. Expectations weren’t met but hey, we’re willing to give almost anything a go.
