Grace the Establishment, Norwood

Finally! A lunch with the use of a deal that ticks all the right boxes! Food, service and ambience! 😀

$49.00 for a 2 course lunch for two and a bottle of wine at Grace the Establishment!

Grace is one of the sister restaurants to the delightful Sparrows in North Adelaide and The Manse, and knowing what kind of food that those places offer, I was super excited to check Grace out!

grace the establishment
Big open dining area with lots of natural light and hanging lights with green plants scattering the wall

grace the establishment
Large doors opening out to the outside area with stools, chairs, tables and cushions

Perfect place to hang out during the warmer months!

grace the establishment, fried chicken
Fried chicken with buttermilk dipping sauce

Boneless fried chicken where one could chow through them without a worry! Succulent and juicy meat with a crunchy battered coating, however we found it to be slightly bland even with the buttermilk dipping sauce which was a lot runnier than I’d expected.

grace the establishment
Green plants lining the wall, table set ups

LOVED the size of the tables as I found more often than not, tables are usually too small to fit everything on – wine glasses, water, mains, side dishes, etc etc.

grace the establishment, tuna sashimi
Tuna sashimi, ginger and shallot dressing, sesame mayonnaise

This was so gooooooooood. The fact that I love sashimi to begin with, already made this dish a winner! The presentation was exquisite, the colours were vibrant and the edible flowers added a lovely touch. The dressing served in pipettes was playful and allowed us to interact with the food – always a plus in my books. As for taste?! SPLENDID. Creamy mayo, fresh tuna sashimi, fresh seaweed salad and a kicking dressing. I want more please!

grace the establishment, french fries
French fries, aerated tomato ketchup; $6.50

I have been craving for chips for the last month or so but have resisted temptation until now! Cravings satisfied with these crispy potato fries and aerated tomato ketchup (light and airy)! YUM.

grace the establishment, mussels
Boston bay mussels, chorizo, cider, lemon thyme

grace the establishment, braised beef short ribs
Braised beef short ribs with collard greens; $24.00

grace the establishment, desserts

grace the establishment, kool aid popsicle, sherbet
Kool-aid popsicle, sherbet; $4.00

Fun, refreshing and so cool to look at! Adults can play with food too! Step one: lick. Step two: dip and roll. Repeat step one and two until complete.

grace the establishment, peanut butter and jelly ice cream sandwich
PB&J ice cream sandwich; $8.50

Oh hohoho! This was delicious. Anything with PJ&B has my name written all over it! Delightful surprises of peanuts in the ice cream, textually fun, delicious and so pretty to look at. 🙂
