Passionflower, Haymarket

Mandatory visit to passionflower to get our asian ice cream fix:

passionflower, lychee and taro ice cream
Cookies and cream, green tea and taro ice cream in a waffle cup and lychee and green tea ice cream with fruit pieces.

The ice cream here is always super yummy and creamy, the price tag however is on the very expensive side at $5.00 for a scoop for premium flavours take away and up to $7.00 for a scoop dining in! Some say it’s worth it.. but honestly, I’ll be happy with my one dollar green tea soft serve thank you very much or buy the ice cream from the suppliers here!

Random fact: I used to spoil myself with a scoop or two at Pure Gelato on my lunch breaks whilst working in the same vicinity during my time in Sydney… and cause I was so close to the factory, the freezer was completely filled with ice cream at one stage!

Over our stay in Sydney, CT and I ventured here on 3 occasions and more often than not, we were greeted with not so friendly staff that weren’t accommodating or helpful. We asked if we could swap a flavour of ice cream on a particular dessert but was quickly told that “You can’t change it“. Well BOO to that!!! We were willing to pay an extra ‘fee’ if we had to but our request was completely shut down. Now begs the question. “Why not? Why can’t we swap a flavour and pay extra for the change. We’re eating it… not you. If we get a stomachache because of the clash of flavours then so be it! So why can’t we swap the flavours huh? WHY?:(

Haha, actually. Forget it. I’ll be taking my money elsewhere next time. Lesson learnt! :D
