Okay, we’re still back tracking with blog posts! And now we find ourselves back to last year – new years eve to be exact. 😛
To get things rolling before we headed out for a night of celebrations, a group of us got together, munched through some pizzas and hokkien noodles whilst quenching our thirst with some refreshments including Jackson’s Hill The Under Block Semillon 2011 from Wine Selectors. A “lemon curd and fine talc aromas precede a rich palate that’s uncharacteristically savoury. Full textured, it is similar to French Vouvray, making it a must with food. A brioche-like finish completes this mould-breaking Hunter Semillon.” via Wine Selectors
By far, this was my favourite bottle so far! Fragrant, crisp and leaving a pleasant after taste on the palate – although some did disagree and found it overwhelmingly strong. 😛 I would definitely pick this up at the stores for a dinner at home in the future.
Twas’ a good night gang! Hope everyone pulled up okay the day after! 😀
