First up, hot flames!

Bombe alaska: mango parfait, chocolate and pistachio crumbs, strawberries; $12.00

How awesome is the presentation?! Let me tell you, it tasted as good as it looks!! The textures from the smooth soft mango parfait paired with the chocolate and pistachio crumbs… bliss! Strawberries are a bonus and a welcome to the palate to cut through the sweetness. YUM!

Frozen yoghurt: seasonal fruit, blossoms, sable, yoghurt shebert, citrus soup; $12.00

THIS was so pretty! Reminds me of something that Heston Blumenthal would present but instead of frozen yoghurt, it’d be something crazy like a ball of chicken with stuffing or something. Yeah… like I said, crazy. Haven’t seen Heston’s Feast yet? Best you get cracking! My favourite episode is the ‘Chocolate Factory Feast’; think Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. You can watch it here!

Getting back on track, this dessert was lovely, dainty and all around plain nice. Refreshing flavours, light and fruity concoction with sable bits placed on the edges of the plate. If I could get myself a bag of those sables, I so would. *crunch crunch* Sable is french for sand, as this little cookie has a sandy texture with a delightful crunch and great flavour. Thumbs up! Psst… do you see the edible flowers?! So pretty. πŸ™‚

Peanut butter jelly, panna cotta, peanut crunch, strawberry gel

Complimentary dessert from the chef himself, thank you!! πŸ™‚ This was DELISH. I could not get enough of that peanut crunch.

After ogling my eyes at Devour Dessert Bar’s photos on facebook, that smoked chocolate has my name written all over it! It looks so cool!! It is true what they say, you eat with your eyes first and my eyes say yes to that smoke. And chocolate. And smoke. Why so pretty? πŸ™‚

Happy Friday folks and happy long weekend!
