Mamak Corner, Adelaide

mamak corner

This little joint is fast becoming one of my favourite eateries. It’s open late, it’s cheap and the food is so delicious! That Friday night (Barrio), whilst the trio of us were on our way to belt out some tunes in a private karaoke room on Hindley Street, we made a sudden pit stop at Mamak Corner cause it’s bright lights were still open and we were a little more than peckish by that stage. No complaints to a late night feed before exhausting a lung singing to Taylot Swift’s ‘You Belong To Me’. 😛 Psst! Check out their menu!! No more ‘coming soon’ stickers, the menu is complete!

Teh terik cold; $3.50

The mandatory thirst quencher!

mamak corner
Roti canai; $4.50

Classic favourite: roti canai. Light, crispy and fluffy with a trio of dips: sugar, sambal sauce and curry sauce?? Delish!!

mamak corner
Mee goreng; $9.80

That sunny side up egg gets me every time! What a thing of beauty. We take no time to stab the yolk and mix the noodles all together before twirling our forks into the noodles and stuffing it gracefully into our mouths. YUM! Am craving for some right nowwwww! :)~

It’s cheap, quick and relatively tasty! Can’t complain with the late hours either – especially for Adelaide. Have yet to try their char kway teow! 🙂
