Home girl J is back from her cruise, so great to see her again! 🙂 A much needed catch up sesh over shakes and decadent desserts is just what the doctor ordered. 🙂
Shakes: caramelised white chocolate and malt; $6.50 each
Heard great things about these shakes but expectations fell flat as we found them to be exactly that… flat. The presentation in the cute milk bottles gets a thumbs up from me but the shake concoction wasn’t thick nor creamy.
Chocolate centre donuts, salted chocolate fudge, vanilla bean ice cream, honeycomb, raspberry; $12.00
Devour’s signature dish has gone through a slight change since my earlier visits in July last year. The donuts are much more larger and the sphere is evidently more flatter than perfect sphere balls – I didn’t get a bite this time around but the others declared that the honeycomb was deliciously crunchy and full of yumminess!
Peanut butter jelly: panna cotta, peanut butter crunch, strawberry gel and macaron
Complimentary dish from the chef (thanks Quang)! Now we’re just getting spoilt! 🙂 The PB&J macaron was. SO. FREAKING. GOOD. Light chewy shell with the delightful combo of PB&J in the centre- this disappeared in no time. Great balance in flavours and textural components.
