When Cibo is mentioned, what’s the first thought that comes to mind?
How many of you can say that they’ve ordered something savoury from Cibo? Yeah, neither. Not until recently anyway.
Friends have recommended their little tigelle tartufo: mushrooms, tartufo (‘truffle’), béchamel and parmigiano as a delicious light snack but on the one occasion where N and I were after one, they weren’t any left.
We got these morsels instead:
Tigelle prosciutto: prosciutto, parmigiano, rocket and rosemary mayonnaise
Small… too small. And flat. 2 bites and it’s gone! We both found this a bit too salty from the prosciutto and weren’t fond of the wilted rocket from the tigelle being toasted. Not a fan.
Focaccia pollo: roast chicken, mayonnaise, sundried tomato and basil pesto and provolone cheese
This on the other hand was much more tastier! Melted provolone cheese held the fillings together with a delightful flavour kick from the sundried tomato and basil pesto and chunks of lean chicken meat! Toasted focaccia bread with a toasty case and soft fluffy innards also gets the thumbs up from me!
A satisfying, quick and easy lunch for those short on time or after something fuss free with no frills to go along with their coffees!
