So it’s been a while since I’ve chased down the Burger Theory truck and things have changed somewhat. Most notably, the fresh paint job on the truck giving it a new face lift – pretty funky looking truck isn’t she?
Except from their facebook page:
“We’ve joined forces with … 6 meat loving Adelaide artists to bring you ARTBURGER.
Over the next 12 weeks a limited edition hand screened burger inspired art print and a matching limited edition burger will be released every two weeks at the Burger Theory truck. The prints will sell for only $10 and are a run of only 30. Produced by screen printer extraordinaire Tristan Kerr and featuring some big time local talent – you’d best get in quick.
Our grill man Dan has worked with each artist to create one of a kind burgers; the long awaited and often requested NUMBER 3 BURGER! Each ARTBURGER will be on the menu for only two weeks each – try them all or your tastebuds will never forgive you. Ever!
ARTBURGER. Art for your eyes. New burgers for your mouth.
Starts August 29th wherever Burger Theory can be found.”
There’s no way I’m missing out on these ‘for a limited time only’ burgers. 😉
Matt Stuckey’s Be Friendly burger; $13.00
Can I just say… OMG. ADIAKDFLSJG. Internet speak for a-ma-zing! Tart and sweet chunky local apple slaw, smoky/spicy chipotle mayo, American cheese, and Black Pig Berkshire sugar cured belly bacon. Need I say more? The fresh apple slaw was perfect, cutting through the juicy meat patty, melted cheese and super duperly crispy bacon (seriously, it was SO crispy)! I’m a bit sad that I won’t be able to order the Be Friendly burger any longer but hey, I’m looking forward to the next 5 burgers; my taste buds will thank me but my belly won’t. 😛
Tristan Kerr’s “Ghetto Burger” up next. I can’t wait! 🙂
