Hey folks, I think I’ve found my new favourite brunch spot! After countless visits to Queen Street Cafe and UR Caffe, I thought it was time to mix things up a bit and venture out and try something new. So glad I did!
The cafe was rustic and contemporary with art work on the walls, wooden floor boards, art stools with foot rests/steps which proved to be a bit uncomfortable especially if you’ve got long legs that can’t fold underneath the table. We sat in the front room of the cafe but there was extra seating towards the back.
Grilled chicken sandwich with smashed avocado, bacon, rocket and honey mustard mayo on toasted sour dough; $15.00
Roast pumpkin bruschetta with caramelised onions, toasted pine nuts, danish fetta ad chunky tomato chutney on toasted sour dough; $14.00
The roast pumpkin bruschetta was divine! Loved every component of it although I wished that the caramelised onions had a bit more time in the pan to give it some extra colour and flavour. Minor qualm but overall, excellent! The grilled chicken sandwich was super tasty as well but we were left wanting a bit more of the honey mustard mayo.
Great food, great coffee and super friendly service. Will definitely be back to tackle other items from their menu. Their baked almond grove eggs over home style napoletana sauce with shaved provolone cheese and fresh parsley served with crusty sour dough; $12.00 and scotch fillet steak sandwich with caramelised onions, aged cheddar cheese, rocket and a beetroot and balsamic relish on toasted sour dough; $15.00 kinda has my name written all over it.
