Breakfast/brunching at the Coffee Barun on the corner of Main North Road and Third Avenue opposite Sefton Plaza and adjacent to Northpark Shopping Plaza. I think I underestimated on how big the venue was cause it was huge inside. Super open and spacious with plenty of seating available and a HUGE natural shaped wooden table at the front of the place.

First things first: coffee!

Soy latte; $3.40 + $0.70 (soy)

Vegetarian breakfast; $16.50
A big hearty and healthy breakfast to start my morning. Perfectly cooked free-range poached eggs, baby spinach, roasted tomato, garlic infused portobello mushroom, herbed potato cake all on sourdough toast. Great presentation for a breakfast meal I must say, and the little green dots of syrup were a nice sweet surprise to the palate.

French toast: grilled french style toast served with grilled banana, lemon and ironwood maple syrup and fresh fruit (weekends only); $15.90
Look at the height on that thing! Sweet… maybe a bit too sweet but enjoyable. Shame the bananas weren’t grilled as it was suggested on the menu; but that aside, a sweet start to the morning with fresh fruit of watermelon, orange and strawberry (and a sweet dusting of icing sugar).
