Sweet iced tea (bottomless cup): tea, lemons, simple syrup, mint; $5.00

The perfect thirst quencher for a warm summer’s day, although one could argue that summer feels like it’s almost over! And hey, it’s a bottomless cup! Win win. 🙂

Sweet potato chips, lime, sour cream; $8.00

Look at the huge mound of sour cream! Rest assured, only a fraction of it was consumed with the lightly battered sweet potato batons. 😉

So what does one do when one can’t decide from the long appealing menu? Order the sampler and taste the mini versions of 3 items on the menu!

Plant 13 sampler: buttermilk biscuit, mini pulled BBQ pork bun and Philly cheese steak; $16.00

The buttermilk biscuit filled with smoked bacon was delightful! The sweetness from the crumbly biscuit and the saltiness from the smoked bacon worked a treat. The mini pulled BBQ pork bun with a heap of coleslaw was my favourite from the sampler! The pork was packed with punches of smokey BBQ flavour, the meat incredibly tender and the coleslaw was the perfect accompaniment to cut through the soft textures providing that snappy fresh crunch. The mini Philly cheese steak with onions and provolone had unfortunately cooled down by the time I got to it but still good in terms of flavours and textures. Melted provolone on soft sauteed onions, peppers and steak chunks… yum yum!

I actually went again yesterday and everything we ordered was a disaster! I wouldn’t go back but if you are going, I highly suggest ordering a simple simple dish! >.<
