Weekend bites: Burgastronomy and The Howling Owl

Signature beef burger: hand ground MSA premium grade beef, lettuce, cheese, pickles, tomato ketchup and mayonnaise; $11.00
Sweet potato chips; $3.00 (with burger)
Corn fritters (3pc); $7.00

Burgers burgers burgers. It’s almost like there’s a new burger joint at every corner on our popular city streets. A small snack was had at the newly operated Burgastronomy on the corner of O’Connell and Ward Street in North Adelaide. Notable mentions go out to their sweet potato chips and corn fritters. Both were oh so crispy, the sweet potato chips sweet and moreish and the corn fritters super juicy and naturally sweet!

Grazing board: barossa salami, zucchini, mushrooms, beetroot dip and aged cheddar; $20.00

A small bar located on Frome Street a car park away from the Rhino Room serving coffees, drinks, sandwiches and baguettes and a few sweet pastries to satisfy those with sweet tooths. We opted for a simple grazing platter which took a bit of time coming out considering that there weren’t that many patrons on our visit. A cute little joint for an evening drink after work if you’re in the CBD but I suspect it can get a bit tight if there’s a small crowd there.
