Easy eats at Fork on the Road a few weeks back at Hindmarsh Square.
Low & Slow American BBQ food truck
Special: smoked beef brisket sammich; $13.00
Got myself a plate with a bbq smiley. 🙂 Tender strips of slow smoked beef brisket with squirts of homemade bbq sauce with a roll (slightly dry and crumby I thought) and sides of crispy apple slaw, juicy pickle and potato crisps (read: potato chips). Not bad of a snack for a lazy Sunday afternoon. 🙂
Pumpkin and goats cheese tart with all salads from Let Them Eat
My plus one for the day opted for something more healthier at one of my favourite places: Let Them Eat. A large slice of pumpkin and goats cheese tart with a scoop of all salads on offer. We got: fresh risoni with preserved lemon, mung beans with ginger and soy, Middle Eastern cracked wheat with pomegranate, carrot and quinoa with toasted seeds, spiced chickpeas and beetroot with yoghurt dressing. :)~
We couldn’t go to FOTR and not walk away with a serving of piping hot fresh churros from ChurrOZ!
ChurrOZ cue, classic churro rolled in cinnamon sugar and icing sugar; $5.00
Well worth the wait, these babies were piping hot and fresh, crispy on the outside with a good coating of sweet sugary and cinnamon goodness with a soft and fluffy innard. Yum-mayyyyyy!!
