Easy eats at Fork on the Road a few weeks back at Hindmarsh Square.
Low & Slow American BBQ food truck
Special: smoked beef brisket sammich; $13.00
Got myself a plate with a bbq smiley. Tender strips of slow smoked beef brisket with squirts of homemade bbq sauce with a roll (slightly dry and crumby I thought) and sides of crispy apple slaw, juicy pickle and potato crisps (read: potato chips). Not bad of a snack for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Pumpkin and goats cheese tart with all salads from Let Them Eat
My plus one for the day opted for something more healthier at one of my favourite places: Let Them Eat. A large slice of pumpkin and goats cheese tart with a scoop of all salads on offer. We got: fresh risoni with preserved lemon, mung beans with ginger and soy, Middle Eastern cracked wheat with pomegranate, carrot and quinoa with toasted seeds, spiced chickpeas and beetroot with yoghurt dressing. :)~
We couldn’t go to FOTR and not walk away with a serving of piping hot fresh churros from ChurrOZ!
ChurrOZ cue, classic churro rolled in cinnamon sugar and icing sugar; $5.00
Well worth the wait, these babies were piping hot and fresh, crispy on the outside with a good coating of sweet sugary and cinnamon goodness with a soft and fluffy innard. Yum-mayyyyyy!!
