The new hipster coffee haunt in the city housed under an industrial/rustic warehouse on Eliza Street (just off Waymouth) in the CBD.
We dropped in for a much needed coffee pick me up and a light lunch to get us through the rest of our work day.
Come here for locally-roasted De Groot Coffee, baked-at-home bagels, a small menu of nice things and hand-picked records and books.
Check out the hipster joint:
Graffiti street art on the front wall of the warehouse; candle wax, skeleton bones and twigs; dining area with mismatched furniture
Front counter wall with a decapitated dolls head serving as a pot plant hanging above
Cappuccino and soy latte; $4.00 and $3.50
Love those lights!
Stuffed mushrooms: juicy mushrooms stuffed with a blend of caramelised Spanish onion, garlic, walnuts and spinach, topped with rich feta cheese and served on a bed of greens and balsamic glazed cherry tomatoes; $15.00
Chorizo burger: chargrilled chorizo, oven roasted capsicum, rocket and homemade tomato mango relish burger with garlic aioli served with a side of kale chips; $13.00
Delicious! Was totally satisfied with the serving size of this. Great burger, great flavours, textures and colour… and the side of kale chips were a bonus. Super crispy, light and delicate with each bite shattering the leaves apart.
Great little spot, food was delicious, service was super friendly and there was something quirky or interesting to look at in every corner.
