Corner Store Cafe, Dulwich

News flash! I’ve got another one to add on my list – my list of favourite brunch places. (There’s never enough good places to have brunch!)

Corner Store Cafe is in the burbs of Dulwich, just off Fullarton Road/Greenhill Road, a short drive outside of the city CBD. The cafe was packed, inside and outside and after being there, I can see why.

The wait staff were friendly and efficient during our stay and the food was great and plentiful!

Eggs benedict with smoked salmon
Chilli and fennel fried eggs with Barossa Valley chorizo sausage, baby spinach and parmesan salad on toasted sour dough; $19.50
Mega corner store: eggs your way, bacon, mushrooms, tomato on toasted sour dough; $19.90

After perusing through their menu, I was tossing up between their veggie breakfast trying to stay on my clean eating kick but the special of chilli and fennel fried eggs won me over and I’m so glad it did.

It might look like a dogs breakfast but it was damn good with massive bursts of flavour from the fennel seeds, heat from chilli and the perfectly fried sunny side up eggs with the gooey yolk centre still intact. The boys’ breakfasts were well received and both plates were spotless before I saw the bottom of mine. I think it’s safe to say that they both enjoyed what they ordered as well. ;)

We arrived before midday so the lunch menu was yet to start, I’m keen to make a revisit and see what their later menu offers if their delicious breakfasts are anything to go by!
