The lovely Chloe aka ‘The Yelp Lady‘ invited myself along and a friend to the public tasting festival and community event at the Croquet SA grounds. Yes, we got one of those, I didn’t even knew it existed!
The rain clouds held off for that lazy Sunday afternoon and we, donned in our whites, got to gander at others getting hands on with some nanna skillz crafting, watched people of all ages participate in croquet games, spied on a nonna or two behind the counter making freshly made gnocchi and of course, sampling the deliciousness as a result!
There was a whole lotta taste testing on offer, naming just a few: free coffees from Cirelli Coffee, scoops of the most interesting and intriguing ice cream flavours from Evercream Gelati and some delicious cheese offerings from Cheese Please (cheese lovers rejoice!).
A scoop of pistachio, cardamon and rose water
The hottest fuckin’ sauce
Pretty apt name of the hottest fuckin’ sauce. It did not lie! I can handle my heat but even this was hot hot hot!!! I’m salivating from the pain I experienced just by thinking about it… haha
Notice nonna in the background? Hehe! There was a real nonna there too. 🙂
The gnocchi was amazingly delicious. Plump, pillowy softness of goodness in a tomato sauce. So good that we actually went back for seconds! Apparently 20kg worth of gnocchi was had during the event.
What a great event held by Yelp Adelaide! Can’t wait for the next one. 🙂
