A popular brunch/lunch spot close to home is The Coffee Barun. I’ve been to this place over the years for their great coffees and food… so to save myself from sounding like a broken record, here were the goodies that we ordered on our visit!
Soy latte; $4.10
Pulled pork roll: $16.90
J ordered the pulled pork roll and gave me the double thumbs up. She’s had it before and recommended that I order it but the breakfast menu always gets me. Always. This beauty was made up of shredded slow roasted pork served on lepinja with coleslaw, pickles and a green tomato relish.
Eggs florentine with extra Norwegian smoked salmon; $14.50 + $5.50
The ‘eggs royale’ (poached eggs, smoked salmon, baby spinach and hollandaise sauce served on toasted ciabatta) is no long on their menu(!)… but their ‘eggs florentine’ plus an extra side of smoked salmon pretty much is the exact remake of said dish. 😛 So brunch crisis quickly diverted! Hehe. Simple and delicious as always.
They serve breakfast all day at The Coffee Barun – yay! – and have a small lunch menu (starts at 11am) as well as pizzas and sweet homemade treats at the front counter and display cabinet. There’s definitely something for everyone here.
