It appears that Mad March has kicked off early once again in Adelaide with the Adelaide Fringe in full force throughout our city with the Garden of Unearthly Delights in full swing at Rundle Park, Gluttony in Rymill Park, and the Royal Croquet Club stretching out to both sides of Victoria Square. The most recent “pop up” venue to join the lot is Surrender, a pop up club from the same creators as Barrio(!)—LOVED Barrio—which sits behind the InterContinental Hotel on North Terrace overlooking the Riverbank.
Sidewood Estate is the principle supplier to Surrender where they launched their new range, Stable Hill Wines this past Friday, sending myself and one of my closest conspirators an invite to join them and the President of Surrender, Majesty Doctor YaYa, Father of Us All, at their launch party.
We enjoyed some much needed complimentary refreshments to battle the stifling heat (we got toasted!!) on Friday evening whilst we spent some time at Adelaide’s first micro-nation*.
Surrender comes alive every Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights until the 15th of March 2015 and is open from 6pm to 2am. Free entry before 7.30pm or a $10 entry fee applies, enter from the southern end of the Torrens footbridge. Check their website for the entertainment schedule with a list of entertainers and DJs. 😉
“Surrender is an ever changing and evolving world of surprises like no other—expect the unexpected and inexplicable…”
Have fun folks!
*A micronation, sometimes referred to as a model country or new country project, is an entity that claims to be an independent nation or state but is not officially recognized by world governments or major international organizations.

And a few other happy (foodie) snaps over the past weekend at the Garden of Unearthly Delights for 2015!
