Lunching done right when in Sydney.
Kirin beer; $8.50
That one time when all diets went flying out the door and a massive feast was to be had whilst I had a solo lunch session at Ippudo breathing down a hot bowl of delicious ramen, some pan fried dumplings, a side salad and an ice cold Kirin beer to wash it all down.
Ippudo gyoza: Hakata-style pan fried dumplings
Akamaru shinaji ramen lunch set with gyoza and mini salad; $16.00 + $4.00
A bowl of warm goodness, Ippudo’s original tonkotsu broth with special blended miso paste and fragrant garlic oil served with thin, straight and bouncy noodles, rich fatty pork belly slices, bean sprouts, flavoured mushroom and fresh shallots.
The ramen stock was heavenly and layered with so much flavour and depth. The noodles were coated well with each slurp yet not so overwhelmingly that it felt like the fat was clinging onto each strand. A perfect balance of flavour, colour and textures. One of the best things ever!
Now if only there was a ramen spot in Adelaide that could compare… Ippudo, will you come to lil ol’ Radelaide to satisfy our cravings please? 😛
