A quick pit stop at St Louis House of Fine Ice Cream and Dessert for a sugar hit at their newest location in North Adelaide. It seems like we weren’t the only ones who knew of the new joint… it was packed!
Wild strawberry waffle; $15.90
Waffles for one. A warm Belgian waffle drizzled with milk chocolate and berry coulis; all topped with milk chocolate drops and fresh strawberries served with vanilla ice cream. I got the ‘mMmmms and ahhhs’ from my eating buddy. It’s safe to assume that the waffles got her tick of approval.
As for myself, I stuck with something simple and opted for a scoop of chocolate ice cream.
1 scoop in a sundae cup; $4.50
Just the right amount of sugar to cap off the evening and cold weather. Haha. Ice cream always tastes better in winter… no? Well, one thing’s for sure, it doesn’t melt as fast!
St Louis is a huge supporter of SA produce and aims to utilise and support the local industry and produce wherever possible. The ice cream is made locally and lovingly in their ice cream factory and they use nothing less than real pasteurised milk and real cream, sourced from local farmers. For the health conscious, they’ve also got dairy free sorbets that are 100% fat free and low fat yoghurts. Win win!
